CURRENT INFORMATION
We offer the opportunity to take part in a summer school with a practical demonstration of our research activities by individual arrangement.
If you are interested, please contact Ing. Jiří Rezek, Ph.D.: jrezek@ntis.zcu.cz, +420 723 175 039.
Nanocamp
Smartphones, smart windows, flexible displays, anti-reflective filters, clean energy sources, intelligent sensors, high-speed machining, self-cleaning and antibacterial surfaces, biocompatible implants, …
These and many other modern technologies are based on new thin-film nanostructured materials.
If you want to look behind the scenes of modern materials research and applied physics, are interested in new materials, and enjoy experimental research and discovery, then the summer school of applied physics “NanoCamp” is for you.
What to expect:
- You will learn where new nanostructured materials with unique properties are used.
- You will learn how these materials are designed, experimentally prepared and analyzed.
- You will try the preparation of thin-film materials atom by atom using plasma technologies.
- You will explore the properties of the prepared materials using advanced analytical methods.
- You will get an idea of the possibilities and challenges of contemporary materials science and applied physics.
The summer school is intended for high school students (who are about to start their 2nd - 4th year) with an interest in applied physics, materials engineering and new technologies.
Participation in the summer school is free of charge. The program is provided from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
